Btec Electronics, AMIOA, MInstSCE
Jeremy attended the Colchester Institute where he obtained his IOA Diploma in 1996
Jeremy started out as an apprentice at Marconi Communications Systems in Chelmsford. Then there was a short detour into biological sciences at Essex University (field ecology involves a lot of getting cold and wet and this turns out to be good training for acoustics). He then spent 20 years with various companies in the audio industry (Trusound, Audix, Redifon SPT & SigNet). In this sector Jeremy worked as project engineer and as a project manager on projects ranging from village halls to nuclear power stations. After a spell in consultancy with AMS Acoustics and Loge Controls he moved on to being Senior Acoustics Engineer at Flakt Woods. He then joined Sharps Redmore Partnership in March 2005.
Designing public address, voice alarm and other audio systems naturally led to gaining a working knowledge of the relevant acoustics. He now specialises in environmental noise modelling, and the noise control engineering of mechanical services and power generation plant, generally in the commercial and industrial sectors. Jeremy is particularly experienced in carrying out environmental noise surveys and diagnostic investigation of noise problems related to plant. Jeremy has a wealth of experience in mechanical services noise and has undertaken noise assessments and advised on noise control for hundreds of mechanical service installations across all industry sectors
Outside of work, Jeremy is a keen amateur photographer and may also be found between site visits flying a kite on the nearest flat beach or park.
